Barcelona: A Brief History
Barcelona was founded in 1899 by a group of Catalan students who were looking to create a sporting club that would represent their city. The team’s first match was played against Arenys de Munt and ended in a 2-0 victory.

Under the new ownership, City has become one of Europe’s elite clubs, winning numerous trophies including two Premier League titles and the UEFA Champions League in 2012.
